George Turner rites Friday

BURLINGTON - George E. Turner, 68, 3002 Fleming St., Burlington, died Wednesday at Burlington Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 8 a.m. until time for the service.

Turner was born May 20, 1918 in Birmingham, the son of Guy and Nina Lyons Turner. He married Frances E. Kuntz Marcy 12, 1971 in Fairfield. He was an auto mechanic for 40 years and an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Nancy Evans of Lone Tree; two sons, Rick of Lone Tree, Jerry of Brighton; three stepchildren; 13 grandchildren; four sisters, Marjorie Smiddy of Moline, Ill., Maxine Parker, Wilma Grace Fleming, both of Fairfield and Marilyn Jean Hanson of Rochester, Minn.
