Ethel Hopkins

Ethel Riggs Hopkins, 93, died at 9:07 a.m. Oct. 25, 1986, at the Bloomfield Care Center.

She was born Feb. 28, 1893, in Illinois to John and Flora Joos Fitzpatrick. She was a member of Milton Christian Church. She married Frank Riggs. He died in 1963. She later married Everett Hopkins. He died in 1976.

She is survived by a daughter, Mildred Dugger of Bloomfield; a son, Norris Riggs of Gibson City, Ill.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lillian Neuzel of Mesa, Ariz., and Ruby Broan and Eva Putnam of Gibson City.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Gibson City Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Bloomfield Care Center Activity Fund.
