Herman T. Colyer

FT. MADISON - Sherman T. Colyer, 78, Ft. Madison, died at 7:20 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Ft. Madison Community Hospital. He had been a resident of the Donnellson Manor Care Center.

He was born March 11, 1907, at Stratford, Texas, to Jon and Maggie Fisher Colyer. He married Ruby Warren on March 31, 1931, at Elmer, Mo. He had worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and the Shaeffer Pen Company.

Mr. Colyer was a member of the Pentecostal Assembly of God Church at Ft. Madison.

Surviving: Two sons, Basil, Ft. Madison, and Murel, rural Farmington; 13 grandchildren; sister, Mary Johnson, Green City, Mo.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, Hofbauer Funeral Home, Donnellson; graveside rites will be at 3 p.m. at Elmer Cemetery, Elmer, Mo., the Rev. Paul Colyer officiating. A memorial has been established for his church.
