Harry Trader

Former Pulaski-Troy resident Harry Trader, 78 of 1600 Beverly St. Jefferson City, Mo., died April 28, 1985, at Memorial Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born Sept. 4, 1906, in Pulaski to Roby and Susanna Elizabeth Pearson Trader. He married Garnett Ward in Sept. 20, 1930, in Ottumwa. He attended schools at Troy. He had lived in Jefferson City since 1958, moving there from Omaha, Neb. A right-of-way officer with the Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration for 32 years, he retired Oct. 31, 1969. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge 14 AF&AM of Bloomfield, a past master of the Troy Lodge 40 AF&AM, and a member of the Jefferson City Chapter 34 RAM and Ezra Counsel 32 R & FM, Prince of Peace Commandery 29 of KT's of the KAABA Temple, AADMMS of Davenport and Capital Shrine of Jefferson City.

He is survived by a son, Harley Lee of Manassas, Va.; a sister, Margaret Jones of Milton; and one granddaughter.

A graveside service was held Wednesday at the Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City; with the Houser Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City.
