Cyril Hoskinson

MEMPHIS, MO. - Cyril Hoskinson, 81, of rural Memphis died on Sept. 21, 1984 at Scotland County Nursing Home.

Mr. Hoskinson was born March 1, 1903 in Delaware County, Iowa, a son of J.M. and Arminta Freeman Hoskinson. He moved to Missouri in 1913 and lived in Scotland County the rest of his life. He married Grace Robinson Aug. 22, 1922 in Granger, Mo.

Surviving are the wife; three sons, J.C. of Arbela, Gordon of Long Island, N.Y., and Paul of Freeport, Ill.; one daughter, Joan Mankoph of Memphis; a sister, Grethel Marshall of Washington, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, at the Payne-Gerth Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Campbell and the Rev. Bruce Jeffries. Burial was in the Brock Cemetery north of Memphis.

Memorials may be made to the Scotland County Memorial Hospital or the nursing home.
