HAROLD H. JOHNSON

Harold H. Johnson, age 81, well-known Stockport resident, passed away Friday evening, July 30th, at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 27, 1900, at Glasgow, Iowa, the son of Oscar G. and Jennie Howell Johnson, He was married to Alice Munson, who survives, as well as two daughters, Gloria Reed of Nebraska and Marilyn Klise of Stockport; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. A son is deceased.

A retired farmer, he was employed by the Department of Agriculture for 30 years and had a great interest was a member of the Stockport United Methodist Church, Masons, Lions, Izaak Walton League and Van Buren County Historical Society.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 2, 1982, at the Stockport United Methodist Church with Rev. David R. Kennedy officiating. Interment was in Spencer Cemetery with Masonic rites by the Stockport Workman Lodge #634.

Memorials to either the Stockport Library or the Stockport Historical Society may be left at the Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham.
