MERRILL B. JACK

Merrill B. Jack, 82, Donnellson, died Tuesday, August 17, 1982, at Keokuk Area Hospital.

He was born June 17, 1900, in Mt. Sterling to Louis T. and Carrie Scotten Jack. He married Lurena Davis, July 4, 1923, at Waterloo.

Mr. Jack lived Donnellson 59 years. He was a retired painter and interior decorator and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Donnellson.

Surviving: his wife; two sons, Lowell E., Manhattan, Kansas, and Richard D., Alhambra, California; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Richers, Winfield; three brothers, Paul, Keosauqua, Darrell, Bonaparte, and Harry, Burlington; three sisters, Emile Baggott, Mesa, Arizona, Mildred Cassidy, Fort Madison, and Edna Newbold, Boone; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 1982, at the Hofbauer Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Strickler officiating. Interment was in Harness Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A memorial was established to the United Methodist Church.
