DAVID L. THERME
David L. Therme, 60, of Farmington, died at 5:55 p.m. at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City on Monday, Oct. 5.
He was born April 6, 1921 to Volney and Goldie Rider Therme and has lived all his life in Farmingotn. He marrid(err) Pauline Schau at Primrose on Oct. 14, 1945.
He was a bookkeeper at the Donnellson Implement Co. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge 27 and Richardson Anthony American Legion, all of Farmington. He served in the Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; his mother Goldie Therme, Burlington; two sons, Tom, Iowa City and Dave of Winfield; one daughter, Patty, at home; one brother, Manford Therme, Ft. Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Verna Johnson, Farmington, and Mrs. Juanita Johnson of Burlington; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Volney Therme.
A memorial fund has been established and contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, Oct. 7 from 7 to 8:30, with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Rozendaal offficiating(err). Interment and military rites will be at Greenglade Cemetery.
