Nettie Tutle (Tuttle)

Mrs. Nettie Tuttle, 90, of Memphis was born April 20, 1884, in Milton, Iowa, a daughter of Elias and Alice Gorss Bell, and died Monday, September 2, 1974, at the Scotland County Memorial Nursing Home, Memphis, Missouri.

Mrs. Tuttle was a 60 year member of Carter Chapter No. 107, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Memphis Methodist Church.

She married James Tuttle on September 1, 1920. He died March 10, 1957.

Surviving ae a son, James Burton Tuttle, Jr., of Memphis; a step-son, Reese Tuttle of Rogers, Arkansas; two step-daughters, Mrs. Louisa Erickson of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and Mrs. Loraine Russell, of Miamia, Oklahoma; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Bell Martin of Des Moines, Iowa.

Funeral services were conducted by D.W. Payne & Sons, Thursday, September 5, 1974, 2:00 p.m. from their Memphis Chapel with Rev. Vernon Taylor officiating. Organist was Mrs. Ann Luther. Pallbearers were Charles Bradley, Arland Eager, Leo Moore, John H. Johnson, Jr., Richard Moore and glen Hyde. Interment was in the Milton Cemetery, Milton, Iowa.
