MRS. MARTHA L. NORRIS

Mrs. Martha L. Norris, age 89, died Wednesday, March 11, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. She was born May 26, 1880 in Scotland County, Mo., the daughter of Daniel and Rebecca Kisling McLane and was one of nine children, all of whom preceded her in death.

Except for a year and a half year spent in New Mexico, she lived in the Cantril area the rest of her life.

On December 9, 1909, she was united in marriage to Clyde Norris. He died on October 12, 1934.

She was a member of the Cantril O.E.S. No. 437 and the Cantril United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, her brothers and sisters, was a grandson, Lt. George Norris.

Survivors are a son, George Norris of Cantril; a daughter Grace Gilfillan, of Shaunee Mission, Kansas; one grandson, Dr. Norris Gilfillan of Fort Worth, Texas; one granddaughter, Mrs. Ronald Williams of Boston, Mass.; one great-grandson; two great-granddaughters; other relatives and friends.

Services were held Friday, March 13, at the Cantril Methodist Church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Herbert E. Phillips in charge. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery at Cantril.
