Helen Nason

Helen Catherine Nason, 89, Milton, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1988, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

She was born Aug. 8, 1898 in Denmark to Lewis C. and Marietta Shumate Hanson. She was a member of the Milton United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary Russell-Strait Post 483.

She married Burton R. Nason. He died in 1969.

Survivors include two sisters, Charlotte Keltinski of Rantoul, Ill. and Alice McMickle of Milton.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

The service was held Monday at the Milton United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Andrew Rubinking. Burial was in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton. The Priester Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials have been established to the Milton United Methodist Church.
