James R. Hall

James Russell Hall, 77, of Memphis, died at the Aldridge Rest Home Thursday, May 22, 1975, at 9:10 p.m. Mr. Hall was a life-long resident and farmer of Scotland County.

Jim was born October 19, 1897, at Hitt, Missouri, the son of James E. and Mary Mudd Hall. He married Alta Mustoe, February 16, 1922, and they lived most of their married life on the same farm in the Brock Community.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two young brothers and a young sister; another sister, Mrs. Mary Mustoe; two other brothers, Frank and Algia and two twin infant great-grandsons, Peter and Michael Bainbridge.

Survivors include his children, Mrs. Verlin (Lorea) Waide, Kahoka, Missouri, Mrs. C.J. (Rosalie) Bainbridge, Woodhull, Illinois, Mrs. Dale (Juanita) Darnielle, Douds, Iowa, James W. (Bill) Hall, Memphis, Missouri, and Mrs. Charles (Elaine) Phillips, Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Mustoe, Woodland, California, and Mrs. Dora Hynes, Alameda, California; 21 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted by D.W. Payne and Sons from Brock Methodist Church, Sunday, May 25, 1975, 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ernest Deatrick officiating. The soloist was Kenneth Campbell and the pianist was Mrs. Olive Bull. Body bearers were Robert L. Riney, Wayne Mathes, Claude Crook, John Cook, Stanley Bull and Franklin Feed. Interment in Scotland County.
