Walter Herbert Heither

Walter Herbert Heither, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Heither, was born March 22, 1894 at Canton, Mo. and died at the age of 76 years, nine months and 22 days at the Davis County Hospital January 1, 1971.

He was married Hildreth Allen July 15, 1920 at the home of the bride's parents in Pulaski. To this union three children were born: Eldon of Cinnaminson, N.J., Allan of Fort Worth, Tex., and Gerald.

He spent his early life in Canton and worked as a cabin boy on the Mississippi River. He spent the larger share of his life in Pulaski, where he was engaged in trucking. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Canton, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald; his parents; and six brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his wife, Hildreth; tw0 sons, Eldon and Allen; one brother, Bill of Clarence, Mo.; two sisters , Lil and Marie of Joliet, Ill.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Jan. 4, 1971 at the Wagler Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. J.E. McClellan. Interment was in the Pulaski Cemetery.
