Dwayne E. Groves

Dwayne E. Groves, 63, son of Willis E. and Ruth Mills Groves died September 26, 1985 at his home in Whittier, Calif.

He was born Sept. 18, 1922 in Milton, he grew up and went to school in Milton and attended the Milton Christian Church.

He owned and operated Deal Hardware & Supply Co. in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., a distributor of commercial fasteners.

He was a veteran of World War II, and served in Burma.

Surviving are his wife, Ruby; two daughters, Nancy Morales and Susan Groves; his mother, four grandchildren and a sister, Maxine Higbee, all of Whittier; a brother, Dwight of Bellflower, Calif. and other relatives.

Graveside services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton, with Rev. Ed Pool of the Milton Christian Church officiating. Russell-Strait American Legion Post of Milton provided military honors. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
