Mrs. Gordy's funeral set

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday for Mrs. Dora L. Gordy, 206 N. Washington, Bloomfield, who died at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis County Hospital.

The funeral will be conducted at the Wagler Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold Constant. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.

A housewife, she was born in Davis County on Sept. 16, 1890 to D.E. and Mary Brumley Bradbury. She had been a lifelong resident of the county and was affiliated with the First Baptist Church.

On Oct. 21, 1907, she married Cleve Gordy.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Violet Willcoxson, Mrs. Mary Doll and Mrs. Dorothy Dixon, all of Bloomfield; three sons, Lee Gordy of Berthoud, Colo., Dale Gordy of Yarmouth, and Eugene Gordy of Oak Forrest, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Addie Hargrove of Keosauqua, Mrs. Hattie Oakes of Ottumwa; and one brother, Raymond Bradbury of Pottsboro, Tex.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1961 and one son.
