Artie Casady

BLOOMFIELD - Artie A. Casady, 81, a retired barber, died at 2:20 p.m. Monday at Davis County Hospital following a short illness.

He was the son of Andrew and Margaret Foster Casady, born March 16, 1889, at Milton. He was a member of the Pulaski A.F. & A.M. No. 358, and Starlight No. 351 of the Knights of Pythias at Douds.

He married Susie Russell on Sept. 22, 1909, at Keosauqua. She survives as do three daughters, Mildred Peel and Irene Lazenby both of Fayetteville, Ark., and Viola Carnes of Ottumwa; two sons, Russell of Keokuk, and Hale of Tipton; seven grandchildren; six brothers, Nile of Bloomfield, Albert of Fort Madison, Walter of North English, Harold of Des Moines, Charles of Sheboygan, Wis., and August of Marshalltown; and two sisters, Marie Zeitler of Douds, and Helen Elder of Keokuk.

The body is at Priester Funeral Chapel.
