Mrs. Brown Stonebraker

Mrs. Bernice Stonebraker, 65, Stockport, died Thursday morning, Jan. 7 at Ottumwa Hospital in Ottumwa, after a lengthy illness.

She was born Nov. 22, 1905 near Birmingham, the daughter of Curtis C. and Blanche Hiatt Johnston. She married N. Brown Stonebraker on May 1, 1927. He died Dec. 21, 1968.

Surviving are two sons, Carroll of Santa Ana, Calif., and Dean of Stockport; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Barton of Ottumwa; her mother, Mrs. Blanche Johnston of Stockport; five grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Johnston of Franklin, Ind., and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Elaine Talbert of Branson, Mo.

Mrs. Stonebraker was a member of the Stockport United Methodist Church and W.S.C.S.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Saturday, Jan. 9 at the United Methodist Church, Stockport, conducted by the Rev. Dwight C. Bonham. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham. Arrangements by Burch Funeral Home of Birmingham.
