C.V. Kruse

C.V. Kruse, 74, of 302 South Willard, Ottumwa, died Monday, Jan. 4 at Ottumwa Hospital following an illness of several months.

He had been employed as a machinist by the Burlington Railroad for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1963. He was a resident of Ottumwa the past 48 years.

He was born March 6, 1896 in Lebanon, Iowa, the son of Charles A. and Christina Brech Kruse.

He was an Army veteran of World War I.

He married Rowena Parker on June 14, 1924 in Ottumwa. She survives.

Also surviving are one foster daughter, Mrs. Clara Eaves of Waterloo; two foster grandchildren; four brothers, Lyle Kruse of Melcher, Otto Kruse of Beardstown, Ill., Harold Kruse of York, Nebr. and Lloyd Kruse of Aurora, Nebr.; four sisters, Mrs. Inez Hining of Des Moines, Mrs. Elma Kroeger of Schleswig, Mrs. Edith Kroeger of Long Beach, Calif. and Mrs. Helen Good of Bloomfield.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 P.M. Thursday at First Pentecostal Assembly of God with the Rev. Robert E. Palmer officiating. Burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa.
