Mrs. George Ensminger

Mrs. Iona Ensminger, 89, Troy, died at 11:50 P.M. Friday, Jan. 8 at Silver Haven Rest Home in Bloomfield where she had been a resident about one year.

She was born Jan. 15, 1881, in Henry County, the daughter of James and Mary Messer Scarff. On Dec. 20, 1899, she married George Ensminger, who preceded her in death. Four brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roy Turner of Troy, Mrs. Dale Snodgrass of Cantril and Mrs. Lee Johnson of Pulaski; two sons, Clyde of Troy and Everett of Boswell, Ind.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 P.M. Monday, Jan. 11 at the Troy United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Everett McClellan. Burial was in White Oak Cemetery. Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton was in charge of arrangements.
