Mrs. Glen Drake

Mrs. Leota E. Drake, 67, wife of Glen Drake, Eldon died at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, at 5:15 A.M. Saturday, Nov. 29. She had been in poor health for four years.

She was born Oct. 20, 1902 in van Buren County, to Harlan and Lillian Robinson Carl, and had lived in Eldon the past 47 years. She was a member of Birmingham Methodist Church. She married Glen Drake July 31, 1922. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Francis Hamilton of Eldon; one son, Donald of Reynolds, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Emmer Trout of Eldon and Mrs. Earl Filson of Birmingham.

The service was Monday, Dec. 1, at 1:30 P.M. at Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon, with the Rev. Earl Menning officiating. Burial was in Eldon Cemetery.
