James Hornberg

James Hornberg, 39, died at 5:22 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

He was a lineman for the Van Buren Telephone Co. the past 11 and a half years.

He was born March 22, 1930 at Ellsworth, Iowa, the son of Charles E. and Hazel Anderson Hornberg. He attended school in Thompson, Iowa. His marriage to Donna Jean Cox took place Dec. 26, 1957 in Memphis, Mo.

He is survived by his widow; three children, Melodie Ann, Dale Martin and Donald Eugene; his father, Charles E. Hornberg of Campton, Iowa; a brother, Robert Hornberg of Garnett, Kans.; a sister, Mrs. Joan Jansen of Elmore, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. in the Keosauqua Congregational Church with the Rev. Millard Marshall officiating. Burial was in Fellows Cemetery.
