JOHN SCHINDLER

John Schindler, 68, died of an apparent heart attack suffered while loading oats at the Dick Hyde farm southwest of Milton about 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 21.

Born Aug. 19, 1900, south of Pulaski, he was theson of Fred and Mary Tschampz Schindler. He married Harriett Bell on Aug. 15, 1948. She survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Emma Whrrett of Bloomfield and Mrs. C.C. Hockersmith of Columbia, Mo., and two brothers, E.P. of Albia and A.W. of College Park, Md.

The funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. at Mennonite Church, south of Pulaski, where Mr. Schindler had been a Sunday school teacher approximately 40 years. The Rev. W.M. Halstead will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.

The body will be taken to the church at noon from Wellborn Funeral Home.

A memorial fund has been established, payable to Mennonite Church.
