Mrs. Matilde Curi

The funeral service for Mrs. Matilde Curi, 59, of Mt. Pleasant, was held Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m., in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. Burial was in Alphonsus Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.

She was born Dec. 30, 1908 in Nazareth, Palestine.

Mrs. Curi died Nov. 17, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, of injuries suffered in a two-car accident which also claimed the life of Kenneth Lamborn of Farmington. The accident occured on Nov. 16, at 5:10 p.m. on Hwy. 218 9 miles north of Donnellson.

Still hospitalized as a result of the accident is Mrs. Curi's daughter, Mrs. Lydia Lopez of Mt. Pleasant, who remains in critical condition in University Hospitals, and Lamborn's widow, Ruth, who is reported improved at Sacred Heart hospital, Ft. Madison.

Mrs. D.V. Ware and Mrs. Fred Shellburg of Farmington attended the funeral service for Mrs. Curi.
