CHRIS CARLSEN

Mr. Chris Carlsen, 80, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1966, at the Salem Invalid Home, Elk Horn, Iowa, where he had been a resident the three years. He was a former resident of Hillsboro, Iowa.

Mr. Carlsen was born in Denmark, Jan. 28, 1886 and came to this country in 1903. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church. On Feb. 4, 1909, he was married to Mary Hansen, who preceded him in death on June 30, 1962.

He is survived by one son, Firman Carlsen of Burlington and two grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were one brother and his parents.

Graveside services were held Aug. 5, 1966 from the Hillsboro Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Diercks officiating. Services were in charge of the Beatty Funeral Chapel, Salem.
