DAVID COOK DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME LAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON

David Cook, 47, Mt. Sterling died suddenly at his home Friday afternoon after a short illness.

He was the son of Benjamin and Minnie McGaffey Cook, born Dec. 20, 1918 at Pittsburg.

He was married to Betty Shultz, she survives. He was a veteran of World War II.

Other survivors are three children, two sons and a daughter, Davey, Charles and Kathlee, all at home.

There are two brothers, Dan Cook of Milton and John Cook of Denver Colo., two sisters, Mrs. Willa Cole of Keosauqua and Mrs. Will Poling of Cantril. One sister preceded him.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Catcott Funeral Home. Rev. Aldreth V. Weigel was in charge. Burial was in the Pittsburg cemetery.
