R.A. Keller Dies at 43

KEOSAUQUA - Robert A. Keller, 43, owner of Keller Plumbing and Heating in Keosauqua, died at 5 a.m., today at Van Buren County Hospital following a four months' illness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m., at the Keosauqua Christian Church with Dan Mast officiating. Interment will be in Fellows Cemetery with military rites. Arrangements are in charge of the Pedrick Funeral Home.

Keller was born Jan. 21, 1931 at Farmington, the son of Sydney and Laura Miller Keller. He was graduated from Farmington High School in 1950. On May 2, 1954, he was married to Ruth Stegleman. he was a veteran of the Korean War and upon his return from service started his plumbing and heating business.

He was a member of the Farmington Congregational Church, Beer-Barker Post 113 American Legion, Keosauqua Lodge No. 10 AF&AM and the Keosauqua Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, John, Jim and Chuck and a daughter, Lori, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Laura Keller and a twin brother, Cardney, both of Farmington, two other brothers, Kenneth of Janesville, Wis., and Laurence of Fayetteville, Ark., and two sisters, Mrs. Bill Roberts of Burlington and Mrs. Carl Brooks of Oxnard, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother.
