FRANCIS A. LAZENBY

Francis A. Lazenby, 48-year-old Keosauqua businessman, died in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital at 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, September 10.

Mr. Lazenby was the owner of Lazenby Motor Co. and Texaco Service Co.

A life resident of Keosauqua, he was born September 27, 1926, the son of Charles and Opal Gove Lazenby. He graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1944, and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Mr. Lazenby married Darlene Dodds at Hanover, Illinois, November 3, 1955. He was a member of the Christian Church, the Masonic Lodge, and Beer-Barker American Legion Post.

Surviving: The wife; a son, Charles, a student of University of Northern Iowa; and his mother, Mrs. Opal Watson, Keosauqua.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 13, at 3 p.m. in the Keosauqua Christian Church, with Rev. Bill Bensheimer, officiating. Burial was in the Fellows Cemetery with military rites. A Cancer Society memorial has been established at, Pedrick Funeral Home.
