MRS. ELIZABETH WITT

Mrs. Elizabeth Witt, daughter of John and Mary Shertz Stecker was born February 9, 1886, at Richmond, Kansas, and died at Fort Madison, September 7, 1975, at the age of 89 years, 6 months, 28 days. On February 3, 1921, she married Allen Witt. He died May 6, 1975.

The couple operated the Witt Grocery Store in Fairfield several years until their retirement.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge 96.

Surviving: One son, Wayne, of Burlington, three grandchildren, and one brother, Andy Stecker of Morton, Illinois, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 10, at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield in charge of Rebekah Lodge 96, with burial in Fellows Cemetery at Keosauqua.
