MRS. RUBY STANLEY

Mrs. Ruby Stanley, 65, a Salem resident the past three months, formerly of Indianola, died at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, at Kennedy Nursing Home, Mt. Pleasant.

She was born October 14, 1908, in Crookston, Minn., the daughter of Edward and Maude Rockwell Newhall. She married Grant L. Stanley in Tama January 19, 1928. She was a Methodist.

Surviving are the husband; one son, Carl, Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Santo, Lansing, Ill., and Mrs. E.H. Guess, Hammond, Ind.; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Beatty-Jennings chapel, Mt. Pleasant. The Rev. George Bigley officiated and burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
