VINNIE L. KITTLE

Miss Vinnie Lee Kittle, daughter of Roger and Georgia Fray Kittle, was born October 16, 1893, in Keosauqua, and departed this life Saturday, Aug. 31, 1974, at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Davidson in Keosauqua, with whom she had lived for a number of years, at the age of 80.

Miss Kittle graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1914. She taught in rural Van Buren County Schools, was a legal secretary, and for many years operated a beauty ship(shop) in Hotel Manning.

She was a lifetime member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, a fifty-year member and Past Matron of Lynds Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Keosauqua, and active in community affairs throughout her long career of service to the community.

Remaining to cherish her memory are two sisters, Mrs. Davidson and Mrs. Glen Sherod, both of Keosauqua, brothers-in-law, Wayne Davidson and Glen Sherod, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1974 at 2 p.m. at the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Cornish, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Purdom Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home.
