Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Harryman of Keosauqua, a brother, Warren, of Rock Island, Illinois, two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Porter of Libertyville and Mrs. Jennie Stump of Ames, other relatives and many friends. A brother, Elwood, preceded him in death.

Russell was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. He was active in Sunday School and Methodist Youth Fellowship of Christ United Methodist Church as a youth and in the work of the Church as an adult. He was presently a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services were held Saturday August 17, 1974, at 2 P.M. at Christ United Methodist Church in Douds, with the Rev. Gerald Caughron and the Rev. Donald Caughron and the Rev. Donald Strauch officiating. Vocalists were Mrs. Keith A. Smith and Mrs. Robert Pedrick. Jon Finney was the organist.
