A graveside service for Birdie A. Wilson, 97, who died Wednesday, July 31, was held Friday, August 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the Eldon Cemetery. The Rev. Kermit Black officiated. Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
She was born October 27, 1876 in Van Buren County to Edward and Hester Dameron Harrison and had lived in Eldon more than 50 years. She married Glen Wilson, Feb. 22, 1899. He passed away June 16, 1944. Two sons, Harold and Rex preceeded her in death, also. Surviving were a granddaughter, Mrs. Phil (Doris Jean) Stern and three great grandchildren, Trent, David and Susan.
