Osa Stagers

BRIGHTON - Osa C. Stagers died Saturday about 9 p.m. at the home of a friend.

He was born near Douds March 17, 1899, to Daniel and Margaret Channell Stagers. On Nov. 4, 1918, he married Eva Perkins at Keosauqua. She died in 1968.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lavada Clark of Packwood and Mrs. Donna Hartnell of Keota; two sons, Robert of Mount Pleasant and Richard of Rubio; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roscoe, Beryl and Donald R., all of Douds; and his stepmother, Mrs. Mae Stagers of Fairfield.

Seven brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.

A memorial has been established payable to the heart fund.

The service will be Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the Rev. Tennis Pitts officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery near Douds.
