Rowland O. Price

Rowland O. (Boley) Price, son of George and Belle McCanse Price was born June 24, 1896 in Milton and departed this life Saturday, September 2, 1973, at the Van Buren Good Samairtan Center in Keosauqua at the age of 77. On November 23 1918, he was married to Sadie Evans at Troy. They farmed in the Milton, Troy and Selma communities. In 1956 they moved to Ft. Madison and in 1957 to Bonaparte.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Madolyn Stansbery of Bonaparte, two son, Noel E. Price of Ft. Madison and Kenneth W. Price of Overland Park, Kansas, six grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Nina Ross and a brother, Ambrose Price, both of Des Moines, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father and grandfather, a good neighbor and a true friend.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 24, 1973 at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. John Cornish, United Methodist Pastor of Keosauqua officiating. Pall bearers were Raymond Lowery, Rodney Warner, Harold Horstman, Edgar Smith, Kenneth Hawk and Stanley Hendricks. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton.
