John M. Leffler, 88, Stockport, died at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Memorial hospital, Keosauqua.
He was born June 15, 1885, in Van Buren county, the son of Andrew J. and Lydia Vale Leffler. He married Ruby C. Neunham Sept. 21, 1927, at Quincy, Ill. A retired farmer, he lived most of his life in the Harrisburg township area.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Martha Forman of Grinnell and Mrs. Mary Nelson of Eagle Grove. Guston Leffler of Stockport is a nephew.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Harrisburg Baptist church with the Rev. L.H. Smith officiating. Burial was in Vale cemetery.
