Mrs. Grace Overlander

Mrs. Grace Overlander, 88, died at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10 at the Hainline Nursing Home in Bonaparte where she had been a patient the past seven years.

Last rites were held Monday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Bonaparte Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Ogden in charge. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.

Grace Overlander was born Jan. 10, 1885, in Illinois, the daughter of Peter and Christina Redenius Ommen. She was married Feb. 10, 1904, in Illinois to Harm Overlander. He preceded her in death March 18, 1946.

Mrs. Overlander spent most of her life in the Stockport community.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Marie Hainline of Bonaparte, Mrs. Mattie Van Patten of Des Moines, Mrs. Christina Murray of Keosauqua; one son, Henry Overlander of Stockport; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and s sister, Mrs. Tena Leford, Mitchell, S.D.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, eight brothers and two sisters.
