Phyllis J. Day

Phyllis J. Day, 69, Ft. Madison, died at 2:05 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 2, in Sacred Heart Hospital.

She was born July 30, 1904, at Stockport, Ia., the daughter of Timothy and Dora Lewis Day, moving with her parents to Ft. Madison in 1914.

She was educated in the Fort Madison schools and for 40 years was an employe of the Ft. Madison Savings Bank.

Miss Day was a member of the United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Business and Professional Women's Club.

She is survived by her cousins, Mrs. Charles Wheatley, Mrs. Foster Brenneman and Vera McCullough of Fairfield.

Services were held Saturday, Aug. 4 at 1:30 p.m., at the Barr Funeral Home in Ft. Madison. Rev. Neil Cross officiated. Burial was in the cemetery at Milton. Burial aws inretire d(i.orE …….
