Mrs. Esta C. Droege

The funeral service for Mrs. Esta C. Droege, 68, of Donnellson, was held Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. in St. Pauls Untied Church of Christ, Donnellson. Mrs. Droege died at 6:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20 in Graham hospital, Keokuk, after a lingering illness.

She was born July 2, 1904 at Donnellson, the daughter of Edward C. and Dora Becker Hentzel. On Jan. 23, 1929 she was married to Martin Droege at Burlington. He survives. She was a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ at Donnellson, the Friendship Circle of the church and had been Secretary-Treasure of the Lee County Farm Bureau for eight years.

Besides he husband, she is survived by one son, Glenn Droege, of Donnellson and one daughter, Mrs. George (Irma) Heasley of Woodridge, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Dorr (Naomi) Anderson of Donnellson and one brother, Omar Hentzel of Roswell, N. Mex. and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Burial was in Sharon cemetery. Rev. Donald Stoll officiated. Pallbearers were Harley Murphy, Raymond Krebill, John Koch, Harbin Sheffer, Henry Hennies and Howard Hennies.

The Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home at Donnellson had charge of the service.
