Dr. Philip W. Whiteley

Funeral services for Dr. Philip W. Whitely, Denver, Colo. were held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, Nov. 6 in the Moore Mortuary. Private burial services were in Ft. Logan National Cemetery.

Whiteley, who lived at 3336 Belcara Drive, died Wednesday, Nov. 1 in St. Luke's Hospital. He was 77. He was born Sept. 12, 1895 in Bonaparte, Iowa. He was a graduate in Bonaparte High School in 1913. He was a graduate of Iowa State University and Rush Medical College. Whiteley was married to the former Maxine Gay on July 11, 1947.

The Denver and Colorado Medical Societies honored him in 1969 for 50 years of practice in the state. Similar honors were received from the Medical Alumni Association of Chicago.

He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, Cherry Hills Country Club, Denver Westerner's, El Jebel Shrine, Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity, American Medical Association and other professional groups.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Dayl L. Larson; two sons, Philip Hall Whiteley and Kirk Wade Whiteley and five grandchildren, all of Denver, Colorado.
