Mrs. Marie M. Talmadge

Mrs. Marie M. Talmadge, age 77, died Friday, Nov. 3 in the Kennedy Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant.

She was born near Bonaparte on Jan. 5, 1895, the daughter of Robert H. and Bessie Cleave Miller.

On April 20, 1933, she was married to John Talmadge in Washington, D.C., he survives.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church.

Surviving besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Orlan (Jean) Ervin of Marshalltown; a sister, Mrs. Larry (Lucy) Pickard, Farmington; a brother, Rex Miller, Hillsboro, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 6 at 1:30 p.m. from the Hillsboro Baptist Church, with the Rev. L.H. Smith officiating. Interment was in the Vale Cemetery, north of Bonaparte, with Beatty-Jennings Chapel in charge.

Casket bearers were Burch Boley, J.M. Dodds, Leroy Jennings, Donald Miller, Stan Miller and Lynn Miller.
