Mrs. Earl Wells

Mrs. Earl Wells, 74, of Keokuk, died June 8 there. She was born Jan. 5, 1898 in Clark County, Mo., the daughter of Samuel and Belle Cross Harness. She grew up in Mt. Sterling area.

She was married to Earl E. Wells, Oct. 9, 1917 in Fort Collins, Colo. He died in 1965.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. (Vanna) Hans of Cape Coral, Fla.; a brother, Guy Harness of Solo, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Ina Fry of Monmouth, Ill., Mrs. Clara Lerchie of Moulton, Mrs. Myrtle Obley of Lakeweed, Colo.; two granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was June 11 at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, Mo., with burial in Blackledge Cemetery near Mt. Sterling. The Rev. Carl Martin officiated.
