Mrs. Ray McCracken

Mrs. Vera McCracken, 67, of Keosauqua rural route, died Friday, June 2 at 1 p.m. in the Davis County hospital, Bloomfield after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 9, 1905 near Bonaparte, the daughter of Otto and Ada Dawson Woods.

She married Ray McCracken in October of 1939 at Donnellson. He survives.

She was a member of the Bonaparte Rebekah lodge and Woods club of Bonaparte.

The funeral service was held Sunday, June 4, at 3:30 p.m. at the Bonaparte Baptist church. The Rev. Millard Marshall officiated. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery.

The Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham was in charge of arrangements.
