Mrs. Mary Shriver

Mrs. Mary Ellen Shriver, 67, Arbela, Mo., was killed in a one car accident at 2:55 p.m. Monday, May 29, one half mile north of Memphis on highway 15.

The daughter of Homer and Flora Robertson, she was born in Missouri, March 1, 1905. She was married to Wesley Shriver in Kahoka. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Shriver was a member of the Providence Baptist church, Arbela. She was past president of the Scotland County Cancer fund.

She is survived by one son, John, Ft. Madison, Ia.; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Thompson, Kansas City, Kans.; two brothers, Leslie and Dan Robertson, both of Sedalia, Mo.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Shriver was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Mae Troutman of Bonaparte.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, and one daughter.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at the Providencen Baptist church with burial in Center Chapel cemetery in Van Buren county, Iowa.
