William George (Bill) Schuelka, 62, Donnellson RR 2, died at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, May 27, 1972 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa.

He had been in failing health several years and seriously ill one week.

Mr. Schuelka was born Jan. 2, 1910, in Lee county and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a cement finisher by occupation and a member of the St. John United Church of Christ. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. On Dec. 24, 1934, in Fort Madison, he married Verda Elizabeth Bernhardt, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Jenny) Myers, Donnellson RR 2; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Gabel of Donnellson, Mrs. Alice Kreizinger and Mrs. Louise Housholder, both of Bonaparte; and three grandchildren, Robbie, Tina and Teresa Myers.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann; a son, William George; two brothers, Lewis A. and John H. Schuelka, and two sisters, Elizabeth Schuelka and Adeline Nayler. His parents were Gustave and Adeline Martens Schuelka.

Final rites were at Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa, at 2 P.M. Tuesday, May 30, the Rev. Robert Rotgers of St. John's Church officiating. Burial was in Soldier's Circle of Oakland cemetery with military rites.
