Mrs. Mabel Murphy

KEOSAUQUA - Mrs. Mabel Mae Murphy, 72, died Saturday, 6 p.m. at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient one week.

She had lived at Brownville, Texas, until moving to Keosauqua last August. She was born Sept. 6, 1899, at Allens Grove, Ill., daughter of Robert and Cora Jane Barker Harwick. She married Jack A. Murphy at Kerrville, Tex. He died in 1956.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Shafranek of Fairfield and Mrs. Jessie Richardson of Ferndale, Mich. Richard Shafranek of Keosauqua is a nephew.

Funeral will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Catcott Funeral Home here with the Rev. Millard Marshall officiating. Burial in Fellows Cemetery at Keosauqua.
