Glenn J. Sanderson

BONAPARTE - Glenn J. Sanderson, 80, retired farmer and trucker, died Saturday, 11:45 a.m. at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, where he had been a patient since Oct. 4.

Son of Joseph and Lunette Anderson Sanderson, he was born Sept. 18, 1891, in North Lee County. As a child he moved with his parents to Van Buren County. Most of his life was spent in the Bonaparte community. On Nov. 25, 1915, he married Loretta Pickard. She died in 1960. On Aug. 30, 1961, he married Mabel Gilbert. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Eileen McKinsey of Cedarville, Calif., Mrs. Paula Rinabarger of Norwalk, Calif.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister and a granddaughter. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Bonaparte Baptist Church with the Rev. Willard Marshall officiating. The casket will be taken to the Sanderson home in Bonaparte from the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds at 4 p.m. today and friends may call there this evening. Interment in Bonaparte Cemetery.
