Mrs. Issie Giberson

Mrs. Issie Giberson, 79, of Fairfield, died early Friday morning, Nov. 19 at the Henry County Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient the past 10 days.

Last rites were held Monday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Yancey officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

She was born June 7, 1892, in Van Buren County, the daughter of Christopher and Mary Huddleston Peck. She was married Feb. 22, 1911, to Thomas J. Giberson, who died March 10, 1959.

She spent her entire life in the Stockport community until the past 18 years during which she made her home in Fairfield.

Mrs. Giberson was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son and six daughters: Hugh Giberson of Hillsboro, Mrs. Helen Weaver of Fairfield, Mrs. Cecil Ridgeway of Keosauqua, Mrs. Harold Carter of Burlington, Mrs. Maymie Koger of Atlanta, Mo., Mrs. Meda Pool of Fairfield and Mrs. Billie Nichols of Mount Zion.

Other survivors include 29 grandchildren, a number of great- and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Faye Nixon of Cantril and Mrs. Belle Conlee of Kadoka, S.D.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
