Mrs. Lena Clark

Mrs. Lena M. Clark, 69, of Stockport, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 29, at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Clark was born March 7, 1902 at Pierceville, Iowa, the daughter of John and Bertha Syfert Carter. She was married March 27, 1926, to Frank M. Clark who survives.

Also surviving are the following children: Mrs. George (Helen) Nelson, Stockport; Mrs. Vernon (Maxine) Tedrow, Libertyville; Mrs. Merlin (Betty) Foreman, Harry L. Clark and Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Wallace, all of Fairfield and 18 grandchildren and one great grandson.

She also leaves one sister and three brothers: Mrs. Howard Riley, Hillsboro; Charles Carter, Mt. Sterling; Roger Carter, Hillsboro and James Carter of Kirkwood, Ill. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Services were held Saturday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. in the Stockport Christian church in charge of Rev. Chester C. Werft with burial in Millers Chapel cemetery.
