Floyd Watson

Floyd Watson, 54, died Friday, Sept. 17, about 5 a.m. at University Hospitals in Iowa City after being seriously ill for the past several weeks.

A lifetime resident of the Stockport community, he was born Dec. 1, 1916, the son of Sylvanus and Marietta Turner Watson. He was married Jan. 1, 1938, to Neva Lamm. She survives.

He had worked as a foreman at Harper Brush in Fairfield for the past 15 years.

Other survivors are two sons, Larry Watson of Mount Pleasant and Alan Watson of Decorah; one daughter, Mrs. Donna Anderson of Tiettie, Taiwan; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Robert of Algona, William of Apopka, Fla., Arlo of Stockport and Harold of Hollywood, Fla., and two sisters, Mrs. Ava Litton of Omro, Wis., and Mrs. Mary Burnett of Danville.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Cedar Christian Church with the Rev. Chester C. Werft officiating. Burial was in the Spencer Cemetery.
