Quay Miller

Quay Miller, Birmingham, 82, year old farmer, died Sunday morning, July 25, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City after a short illness.

He was born Aug. 21, 1888, in Birmingham, the son of D.A. and Mary Spees Miller. He lived all of his life in Birmingham. He served in World War I and was a member of Haney and Brannan Post No 181, the Lions Club, Historical Society and the Iowa Society of Forty and Eight.

He is survived by two sisters, Rose Miller, Birmingham, and Ethel Johnston, Oskaloosa, and several nephews and nieces.

Services were held at the Birmingham United Methodist Church at 10:30 Tuesday morning. The Rev. Kenneth Suetterlin officiated and military rites were performed at Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.
